Eden Locke design-led 'aparthotel' is located in Edinburgh's New Town in a stunning five-story Victorian building on George Street which combines the best of lifestyle hotels with the space and comfort of your very own serviced apartment.

Eden Locke features 72 stylish and spacious apartments and each has been meticulously designed to include everything you will need for your stay.

The suites are almost double the size of the typical boutique hotel room - around 30 sqm. Whilst they might be slightly smaller than regular serviced apartments, they have been designed to feel a lot larger.

Following their acclaimed launch in London, Locke Hotels has brought its innovative aparthotel concept to Edinburgh in the form of Eden Locke. New York City-based architecture firm Grzywinski+Pons were tasked with gutting and renovating the chosen 18th-century, a six-story building on fashionable George Street in Edinburgh's trendy New Town.

The distinctive interiors feature muted pastel hues punctuated by bursts of texture and contrasting colour. Fun amenities like cocktail kits, artisan toiletries by Locke’s own Kinsey Apothecary brand, T2 teas, and Rude Health granola and porridge for breakfast are additional touches that help guests feel at home.

Eden Locke also hosts Hyde & Son downstairs which is a new-age coffee lounge that turns into a wine and cocktail bar at night. Open to guests and non-residents, the shared space is fronted by the internationally recognized barista, James Wise.

Location

Edinburgh's New Town is not that new. Built in the mid-to-late 18th Century, in response to overcrowding in what is now known as the Old Town. Edinburgh's New Town, however, is definitely the trendy heart of Edinburgh. It is where Georgian townhouses line the broad avenues and open squares. Shoppers hit chain stores on Princes Street and upscale boutiques on and around George Street, while office workers and affluent residents grab drinks in chic hotel bars and atmospheric cocktail lounges.

Eden Locke is located right in the middle of it all on George street and you'll find yourself being able to enjoy not just the great nightlight and restaurants but also the ease of connection to the rest of Edinburgh. Whether you are visiting for holiday or business, this is probably one of the best spots in the city either way.

How to get there

If you are coming from the Edinburgh Airport (EDI) you can take either the T50 Tram or the Airport bus. The tram takes 30-minutes and the bus is a bit quicker at 20-minutes. Both transport options stop at Princess Street, which is just a short 5-minute walk from Eden Locke.

If you have arrived by Train at the Edinburgh Waverley Station, it's also just a short 5-minute walk to the hotel. See what we mean by centrally located!
