• Houseboat
  • 4 Guests (2 beds)
  • 1 Bathroom

The Modern Houseboat offers a rare opportunity to discover all the adventures that may arise from living on the edge of a bustling, yet peaceful Berlin waterway. It's a unique place where you can unwind and take in the natural surroundings of the ever-changing city.

At 60 square meters in size, the boat is almost the same size as the average Berlin apartment. It features a fully-equipped kitchen (with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, and all the other essentials), a large, light-filled living area with a retractable double bed and a couch, a bathroom with separate toilet and the main bedroom with a large double bed overlooking the lake.

One of the biggest highlights of the Houseboat and the thing that we think makes this place really special are the huge windows that open directly out on to the water. They offer stunning views across the water with views of the city and the landmark TV tower on the horizon.

There is also a wood-burning fireplace to keep the boat warm in winter and air-conditioning for those hot summer nights.

The boat is best suited for up to 2 adults plus 2 children.

Noteworthy

The boat has an engine and all the required papers, so you can drive it if you have the appropriate driver’s license! You will, however, need to have a few hours of instructions and safety training beforehand.

Location

Located on Lake Rummelsburg, a small bay in the river Spree, the Houseboat is far enough away from the busy city without being completely disconnected. The houseboat is neighboured by the districts of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg and Lichtenberg. Lake Rummelsburg and the surrounding areas are popular weekend destinations for many Berliners.

How to get there

The Houseboat can be reached by taking the Line 21 tram, which runs every 20 minutes, from the nearby Ostkreuz S-Bahn Station. From there you can connect to most other parts of Berlin really easily.

The nearest airport to the Houseboat is the Berlin Schönefeld Airport. It will take around 25-minutes by taxi to get to the Houseboat. You can take public transport all the way, but this will take around 1 and a half hours, so Taxi is by far the quickest way.
