The 25 Hours Bikini hotel is located right in the heart of West Berlin in a renovated old 1950s high-rise. Sexy by name and nature, the hotel is helping spread Berlin's cool vibe to the previously unhip City West.

Sitting between Tiergarten Park, the Berlin Zoo and the shopping paradise of the Kurfürstendamm means you end up in a location that’s truly one of a kind — the name is a reference to the site, a mixed-use redevelopment of some iconic mid-century office blocks that’s now known as Bikini Berlin.

The hotel and its playful interiors have been designed by Berlin-based designer Werner Aisslinger — the décor itself is pure “urban jungle,” unfinished concrete mixing with vibrant colors and natural greenery, all the better to accentuate the leafy surroundings.

The hotel has 149 rooms which are located on the fourth to ninth floors of the building. Most rooms come in a standard size, and feature exposed-concrete ceilings and quirky touches like illustrations on the wall and custom-made furnishings. The black-tiled walk-in showers offer a touch of difference to the typical hotel bathroom, and the larger suites come with tubs next to the bed, bikes fixed to the walls, and a hammock strung in front of the window.

If you want a big city view, you should book an Urban room. If you’re looking to spy on the animals at the zoo, you should go for a Jungle room.

With plenty of places to work and play within the hotel, you may never want to leave. Luckily, there’s a place for you to do just about anything you want, like in the Lounge, the Work Lab, and the News Corner, to help you escape the busy city.
