The Joshua Tree House is a two bed two bath 1949 hacienda located 10 minutes from the west entrance of Joshua Tree National Park in Joshua Tree, California.

This is a place for dreamers to reset, reflect, and create. Designed with a 'slow' pace in mind, our hope is that you enjoy every part of your stay; from making local coffee by drip in the morning, choosing the perfect record to put on as the sun sets, or by relaxing in the hot tub surrounded by over 100 Joshua Trees and a starry night sky.

The house consists of two bedrooms and two bathrooms and works well for a group of friends, two couples, or small families. The owners can also set up an extra memory foam mattress in the hammock room (has privacy with pocket sliding doors) to accommodate groups of six on request.

With over 100 Joshua Trees on the property, the views from the house are magical. If you're up for it, sunrise on the front porch is incredible. The owners estimate that some of the larger Joshua Trees on the property are as old as the United States itself!

Location

The Joshua Tree House is located about 10 minutes from the west entrance of Joshua Tree National Park in southern California. The area around the house is characterized by rugged rock formations and stark desert landscapes. Named for the region’s twisted, bristled Joshua trees, the park straddles the cactus-dotted Colorado Desert and the Mojave Desert.

On moonless nights, almost any spot in Joshua Tree is good for stargazing. The desert’s low humidity and remote location away from city glare lend itself to jet-black nights perfect for spying constellations, glowing planets, and even distant galaxies. During the day the national parks offer numerous opportunities for the adventurous spirit such as Hiking and Rock Climbing.

The region also plays host to numerous music festivals each year such as the famous Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and the Joshua Tree Music Festival.

How to get there

The nearest airport to Joshua tree is Indio/Palm Springs Airport. The airport is located 3 miles (about 3 km) outside of Palm Springs, California and has regular connections to most major cities in the United States. Public transport in the region is limited so we would recommend that you hire a car. It's about a 2 and a half hour drive from Los Angeles.
