This apartment is one of three apartments in an architecturally designed house in the north of Iceland. The apartments are located in Vaðlaheiði, which is a short 10-minute drive from the town of Akureyri.

The apartment features a stunning outdoor deck which gives you stunning views over the bay and Akureyri itself. In the winter time, you can enjoy the surrealness of the aurora borealis and in the summertime the perplexing midnight sun.

In the apartment is a living area with sofa, Tv, dining table and fully equipped kitchen. On the first floor is a bathroom and one bedroom with bunk bed. Above the bathroom is a loft where there is a double bed. Essentials such as towels and bed linen are included in the price.

Location

Akureyri is located in the central north of Iceland. The city is located at the base of Eyjafjörður Fjord which gives you great access to numerous winter sports and activities. You can take hiking or horse-back tours through the area, visit naturally heated swimming pools, or even hire kayaks and go out for a spot of whale watching in the natural fjords.

How to get there

Akureyri is around 5 to 6 hours drive from Reykjavik where the nearest international airport is located. There is a small regional airport in Akureyri with daily connections to Reykjavik with Iceland Air. This flight takes around 45 minutes.
