Remota Patagonia Lodge
Remota is a world-class hotel set on the shores of the Seno Ultima Esperanza in the wild Chilean region of Patagonia. The lodge consists of long black sheds that snake across the grass, broken by the glow from irregular trapezoid windows. If Remota is intriguing on the outside, it's breathtaking within.
The hotel has 72 rooms that overlook the fjord or the mountain. All of them are decorated with noble materials such as the cypress wood of the guaitecas that gives an aroma typical of Chilean Patagonia. Grasses grow right up to the walls, and chic indoor campfires waft around wood smoke in winter: all to maintain your connection with the magnificent natural surroundings.
The hotel restaurant offers world-class dining in a remote setting. The head chef has designed a menu that compliments only the best local seafood, exotic meats from the local area. All vegetables and produce are hand-picked and supplied by nearby farms and gardens.
The hotels primary objective is to show guests the natural wonders of the surrounding region. The hotel offers more than 30 unique and unforgettable excursions such as hiking, horse-riding, kayaking trips and mountain biking trips - all led in small groups by expert, bilingual guides.
Best time to go
To put it simply, there is no single best time. Each season has its advantages and drawbacks, and deciding when to go is entirely up to you. However, November to early March (summertime in the southern hemisphere) is when the weather is the best for exploring Torres del Paine National Park and Tierra del Fuego.

Location
The Remota Hotel is located on the shore of Seno Ultima Esperanza bay, just outside of the small town of Puerto Natales, which lies on the depths of the world-renowned Patagonia region. The hotel is about an hour away from the Torres del Paine National Park, which is famous for its jagged peaks, luminous lakes and ice fields and is widely considered to be one of the most spectacular nature reserves in the world.
How to get there
The nearest airport is the Puerto Natales local airport which is located about 15 minutes away from the hotel by taxi. This is a small regional airport, however, and only has flights a couple of times a week to Santiago. If you want to take the scenic route then we recommend you hire a car from the Punta Arenas Airport (which has 3-4 flights a day to Santiago) and drive through the snow-capped mountain ranges to the hotel (this will take around 4 hours).
