In a former convent in a peaceful patch of Inner Sydney, a half-hour stroll from the city centre sits the eclectic Little Albion Guest House which offers luxury hotel services with both the intimacy and charm of a guest house.

The Little Albion Guest House, tucked discreetly down a lane in Sydney’s hipster district of Surry Hills, mixes clever architecture and on-trend design with a big dose of home-away-from-home charm.

The founder of the hotel, Paul Fischmann, says “Little Albion Guest House was created with the needs of today’s luxury travellers in the front of our minds, which are the authenticity of a local experience, alongside world-class boutique hotel service and ease of booking,”

The Guest Houses 35 rooms are all functional and beautiful and vary in size from cosy crash pads to spacious suites with kitchenettes and dining areas. Each room has been exquisitely designed to make the most of the space that they occupy and been generously styled with dark-wood furniture and plush, comfy seating to give you a private place to escape the days' stress.

Each of the bathrooms have uniquely designed with classic artworks, hand-painted tiles, Art Deco framed mirrors, large rain-showers and amenities by Molton Brown. Soft furnishings an on-trend marble surfaces also combine to create a result that is somehow both old world and modern at the same time.

Rounding out Little Albion’s offering, guests also have access to a north-facing rooftop terrace with a garden, outdoor shower, alfresco seating and views over Surry Hills and the city of Sydney, creating an inner city oasis and a respite from the busy streets below.

Location

The hotel is located right in the heart of Surrey Hills which occupies the divide between the beachside eastern suburbs of Sydney and the bustling Central Business District. Surry Hills has long been considered the humming heart of Sydney’s restaurant and bar scene, but it has long been lacking in the accommodation department.

The hotel is walking distance to everything, including Sydney's Central Station, a hip, local absinthe bar, a tiny arthouse cinema, a few classic Aussie pubs, ramen noodle-houses, high-end restaurants and so much more.

How to get there

The Guest House is only a 7-minute walk from Sydney's Central Station which has direct trains every 10 minutes to the Sydney International Airport as well as the rest of Sydney and beyond.
